A native of the Chicago area, Nickie Davis joined the Spring Street teaching staff in 2013. She graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2000. After graduation, she traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan, and Australia. This was followed by a few years working for biotech upstarts in Seattle doing tissue staining and imagery as well as working in a chemistry lab doing gas chromatography. Her area of focus – and what she really enjoys – is genetics and evolution. Nickie’s teaching certification from Western Washington University included endorsements in general science and biology. Her child Rowan is a member of the class of 2025.
