School is sometimes stressful. Navigating adolescence often causes tension as well. While a certain amount of pressure can be a good thing, too much overwhelms our nervous systems and prevents optimal learning. At Spring Street, we look after the well-being of our students, offering services to meet their individual needs. A Care Team (comprised of our Wellness Coordinator, Learning Specialist, and Fitness teacher) collaborates with students and their advisors to ensure that they get the academic, emotional, and psychological support they need. This includes one-on-one meetings, stress management workshops, and connecting students with nature. We promote and structure exercise, good sleep habits, healthy eating, counseling, and brain breaks as ways to nourish the holistic health and well-being of our students.
