The overall goal of the middle school mathematics program is to develop fluency in foundational mathematical concepts through a curriculum based on Singapore Math. Students refine and expand their computational skills through regular work both in and outside of class. They are taught the importance of neatness and clarity, showing their work, and checking answers. Students are placed according to ability level, not grade level or age. A strong foundation in Transitions math and Pre-Algebra is essential before moving on to high school mathematics.
