I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being. -Oscar Wilde

Krista was enchanted by the theatre at an early age; vivid memories of hiding amongst elaborate costumes smelling simultaneously of translucent face powder and B.O., sneaking on wigs in dressing rooms, and ultimately succumbing to sleep on the benches of California’s oldest theatre listening to the words of America’s greatest 20th-century playwrights. Krista received her BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University, Chicago (founded as The Goodman School of Drama in 1925). As an actress, she has worked in Chicago, San Francisco, and Sacramento, and was a recipient of both the west coast critics’ Drama-Logue Award and Sacramento Regional Theatre Alliance ‘Elly’ Award. After settling in the San Juan’s to raise a family, Krista was an active member of Island Stage Left, both on and off stage. She created and taught an after-school acting workshop for island teens for two years before joining Spring Street as a teaching artist. Rivaling her love of the theatre is her passion for travel.  She and her family would spend winters exploring Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, India, Egypt, Japan, and, most recently, Cuba. She is thrilled to bring her two passions together under the banner of Spring Street International School as a teacher, trip leader, and Director of Admissions.
