Jen began working with Spring Street as a part-time Bookkeeping Assistant in November 2021. Originating from the Midwest, Jen and her husband moved to Orcas Island in 2006 as part of a co-management team at Indralaya where she began learning the ins and outs of bookkeeping. Her love of numbers, problem-solving, and a good challenge brought her to an administrative role at Doe Bay Resort on Orcas Island where she continues to serve now over a decade.
Jen’s interest in being a part of Spring Street comes from a desire to meet new people, learn new skills, and take on new challenges. She also entertains the idea of her own daughter joining the student roster and enjoys learning more about the school as a team member. School involvement is important to Jen, which is reflected in her 7 years of Board service on the Salmonberry School Board.
