Sarah graduated from WWU in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree and in 2009 with a Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She has been practicing as a pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist for 10 years supporting a variety of learners from age 0-21yrs. Areas of high interest and expertise include motor-speech/articulation disorders, social communication disorders (including Autism), and reading disorders such as Dyslexia. When not working, Sarah loves spending time in her garden, cooking, and raising her two children.

One time in class, I cried about the injustice of being dyslexic in this world. My teacher told me that she was going to make me a writer. She told me to pace around her classroom and talk to her about all the things I wished I was able to write over the years. She put the power back in my hands to be able to articulate myself using words, and I had gone my whole life without ever experiencing that.
