Ashley has spent the last few years working as the Program Coordinator for the San Juan Island Mentoring Program at the San Juan Island Family Resource Centre. She also developed and implemented the First Generation College Student Mentoring Program, and provided case management for homeless youth. In her career in human services, adolescents have always been her favorite demographic to work with; they challenge her to look at herself and strive harder to do better for them. Ashley believes that everyone can benefit from having a mentor, and has seen first hand the powerful and positive impact one caring adult can have in the trajectory of a youth’s life.

Ashley has lived on San Juan Island for over 20 years and feels blessed to have raised her two kids in such a beautiful and nurturing place. In her spare time, she likes to hang out with friends and family, go on long hikes, and travel to Ireland as often as possible to visit her husband’s family.
