Paul is a retired business executive with a career as the chief financial officer for companies spanning industrial chemical adhesives, commercial fishing boat construction, and large-scale fishing operations. Starting in the 1980s, he founded multiple companies and led them as CEO or senior executive. Early in his career, he was licensed as a certified public accountant.
Born and raised in the Seattle area, Paul graduated from the University of Washington in 1965. Shortly after, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and Japan.
He’s married and has two sons, two stepsons, and three “adopted” grandchildren. One grandson graduated from SSIS in 2024. Another is currently a sophomore at SSIS. He’s hoping his ten-year-old granddaughter will follow the same path.
Paul now lives on Orcas Island. He golfs. He sails. And he plays pickleball whenever he can.
