David Waldron grew up in the Seattle area and moved to San Juan Island in 1980. He attended Willamette University and the University of Washington, and received his architectural registration in 1980. His son graduated from Spring Street, and David has been on the Spring Street board since 2003, taking charge of creating a vision for the campus facilities. He oversaw the building of the school’s new dormitory and classrooms, the fine arts building, and has designed a multi-use facility for the school’s next building phase. His volunteer activities have included leading the local Cub Scout pack, helping with Island Rec children’s activities and was a founding member of the Friday Harbor Historic Preservation Review Board.
