John Moalli

John is an engineer and educator. For the last 30 years, he has specialized in product design and development and failure analysis of polymers and composite materials. John is an adjunct professor at Stanford University where he teaches a course in engineering design that challenges students to develop solutions to problems confronted by people with disabilities.  John has been recognized with Stanford’s highest award for excellence in teaching and also received a teaching award at MIT.  Formerly, John was a Vice-President at an engineering and scientific consulting firm, where he now continues to work in a reduced capacity so that he can spend more time with his wife, Allison, and son, Ryan, who attends Spring Street. As a family, the Moalli’s enjoy all that the islands have to offer and cherish the many wonderful friendships they have developed since moving here in 2014.
