Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what’s missing in our lives, and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are, and to the purpose of why we’re here.

Trisha McCagh

Kara enjoys exploring and learning about new people, places, and ideas. Her early career in Global Health introduced her to colleagues and projects in Peru, Ukraine, and East and Southern Africa. Later in life she raised two boys on a small farm in rural Montana where the family learned from doing. They kept chickens, ducks, turkeys, hogs, horses, and dogs; irrigated and harvested weed-free hay; adventured in the mountains, avoiding rattlesnakes and swimming in lakes and rivers; and home-schooled on and off. She is curious about the natural wonders of the San Juans and looks forward to becoming part of the nurturing Spring Street International School community.
