Heidi was born on and grew up on San Juan Island. In 2010 she graduated from Friday Harbor High School and Skagit Valley College with an Associate’s Degree. After studying Biology at Western Washington University for one year, she then moved to Mexico, where she had a wide variety of personally and culturally enriching experiences. After returning to the Pacific Northwest, Heidi earned her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Western Washington University and her Master’s in Spanish from the University of Washington. She has taught Spanish at both University of Washington and Seattle University, and is excited to return to Spring Street where she previously taught ESL. Heidi is currently attending Seattle Pacific University remotely to earn her teaching certificate and Master’s in Teaching. In her free time Heidi is a fiber artist who works with local and natural fibers and dyes. She has three Angora goats named Hazelnut, FIlbert, and Lichen and a two-year-old herding breed dog named Tansy Pupwort.
