After five years of teaching middle and high school Language Arts in public schools, Becca is excited to continue supporting students and educators –without the lesson planning–as Spring Street’s Front Office Manager. She is also excited to be here in Friday Harbor, home of her beloved grandfather, Jim Gimlett, as well as aunts, uncles, and both canine and feline cousins. She is a humble servant to her own two cats, Slurpee J. Floppycat and Bombur Q. Chunkycheeks, Esq. They have approved this message.
A PNW nerd through and through, Becca enjoys hiking, building driftwood forts, and galavanting around town. She also likes playing video games (city builders), watching Netflix and Funimation, and reading and writing books. Drop by the office to talk Star Trek, educational theory, anime, linguistics, Lord of the Rings, dessert, dogs, cats, Instant Pots, etc.
As the Front Office Manager, Becca’s goal is to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Like the house elves in Hogwarts. Or Siri.
