James G. (Jim) Goetz, was born and raised through high school in a small town in central Wisconsin. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Montana State University, Bozeman, MT. His career has included: Structural Engineer, US Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Seattle, WA; Engineer US Forest Service, Great Falls, MT; Officer US Army, 1968-1971; Wastewater engineer with CH2M, 1971-2009, where he had significant involvement in major wastewater treatment plants throughout the Pacific NW including West Point and Brightwater, both of which serve the greater Seattle metropolitan area. He retired in 2009. He’s been married for 41 years and lived on houseboat on Lake Union for 30+ years, he moved to San Juan Island in 2010 and lives on the beautiful west side, south of Lime Kiln Park. His hobbies include: boating, fishing, sailing, volunteer work, woodworking. His interests are focused on: good education for today’s youth, conservation of natural resources and wildlife, a clean and healthy environment.
