Student Residences

Spring Street International School Residence

Today Spring Street International School offers International students a relaxing, comfortable residence with all the comforts of home. Our “dormitory” is actually a former “bed & breakfast” and offers students a very comfortable alternative to typical “dorms” and student residence living. The residence is a short, three-minute stroll from the campus. Click here to download a PDF with FAQs.

Adult supervision is provided 24x7, including all weekends and holidays, by live-in

Teachers and families. In addition, activity coordination is provided to ensure the students enjoy the outdoors and all that Friday Harbor and the San Juan Archipelago have to offer.

6

The Spring Street residence has a large common room for activities, studying and relaxation. It has a large dining room and kitchen, equipped with everything to make the students feel at ease. SSIS even uses one of the common areas for high school psychology classes.

Campus Life: We are a small school and very much a family.  Teachers and students know each other well and we engender respect with strong mentoring relationships. The setting and atmosphere is informal and comforting, but there is an expectation of hard work and academic discipline. Students find support whenever they need it.
