Serving all who choose Independent School Education

Spring Street International School’s Scholarship Fund is a great way to give back to your community and immediately impact someone’s life, particularly when quality education is so critical to the future of our community and our nation.

SSIS is a vital asset to the community and has been very generous in supporting our families, putting pressure on operational financing. Our families’ need for financial assistance demands that we have a consistent fund to support them.

Since the school’s inception, a primary goal has been to serve the entire community, not just those who can easily afford an independent school. Our geographic area (San Juan County) is a tourist economy with a very high cost of living, a low family income average and a limited range of professional employment opportunities. Many families with school-age children cannot afford an independent school.

FACT: Over the past 12 years, SSIS has offered more than one million ($1 Million) dollars in financial assistance to families!
FACT: Last year, discounted tuitions totaled $150,000 in unrealized funds.
FACT: 60% percent of our island families receive financial help, versus 15% on average at independent schools.
FACT: 85% of our students are from San Juan County and our scholarship funds will be dedicated exclusively to island families. While other fundraising supports the school’s operations, the Scholarship Fund allows SSIS to admit capable Island Students, whatever their financial situation, and ensures our longevity as a vital community asset.
