Annual Fund

The Gift of Education Is Priceless!
Enjoy the Immediate Rewards of Giving to our Annual Fund

Join those who are passionately devoted to kids and education. Share in defining and improving the lives of some very special future citizens! At SSIS, students have the rare opportunity to be themselves and develop at their own pace. We provide a supportive learning environment where students are never bored, bullied, or unchallenged; a place where being unique is valued and where students can thrive and develop their critical thinking skills.

Mission and Value

We believe we fill a regional need for high-quality, college-preparatory schools in a rural county and serve as nothing less than a model of how quality education can inspire our youth.

Our families’ need for financial assistance demands that we augment our operational budgets with our Annual Fund. The Annual Fund revenue allows us to maintain our high standards of education and ensures we have the finest teachers available in front of our students.

Through strong academic curriculum, a supportive atmosphere and experiential education we teach life lessons for the 21st century and awaken student expectations. We prepare students for the demands of a global, competitive world that will challenge their creativity and independent thinking.

Consider the following:

  • Over the past two years we have granted an average of $150,000 in scholarships for students and families in our local community! As a result, our funds are reduced and tuition covers only 75% of our budget. We rely on the generosity of our local community to make up the difference.
  • We provide financial assistance to more than 60% of our families. The percentage at most independent schools is only 15%. And yet, we must also keep tuition lower than comparable schools to ensure we remain affordable for all island families.

Did you know?

  • SSIS students have been accepted to some of the finest colleges and universities in North America, often with substantial scholarships.
  • SSIS courses have won prestigious recognition from the College Board.
  • Our AP Human Geography and Psychology courses have been recognized as “best in the world” for schools with fewer than 500 students.
