Friday Harbor is a town of 2,000 on rural San Juan Island. It is the county seat of San Juan County (total population 15,275). San Juan Island, one of four major American islands in the Olympics “rain shadow,” is located off the coast of Washington and reached by Washington State Ferry, plane, or private transportation.
