More About Admissions:
Financial Aid Information
Scholarships are available to families in genuine need of assistance. This year, we will use the services of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) to assist us in the financial aid process. SSS is a group affiliated with the National Association of Independent Schools (www.sss.nais.org) and they are very experienced in academic support procedures and analyses.
We are strongly committed to helping families in need as best we can, and SSS will assist our analysis by giving us a commonly defined, objective process. Please note that SSS does not offer our school actual funding. It is merely an analysis service to objectively determine level of need.
We ask that all renewing families seeking financial assistance make certain that your applications are completed by May 16, 2011.
The deadline for financial aid applications for new families is June 1, 2011.
All you need to do is complete and file the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) with SSS. You can do this by mail or online. The online filing will save you $12 or about 25%.
Here are links to download three files – forms and instructions for filing by mail:
- Parents' Financial Statement (PFS)-- paper form.
You may complete the PFS by submitting this paper form (or do it online). - Instruction Booklet for completing the paper PFS
These instructions can help you prepare to successfully complete the paper PFS. - PFS Online Workbook
This workbook can help you prepare to successfully complete the PFS Online.
The online filing fee is $35. The print form (hard copy) filing fee is $47. Our school code is 1171 (it is not on the PDF file or paper copies of the application form).
If you want to file online, go to: http://sss.nais.org/Parents/. Click on the green tab at the top that says "Go to Parents' Financial Statement" where you begin by creating an account (Click on green "Create an Account" button.)
If you don't feel comfortable with the PDF files or filing online, you can obtain a financial aid form in our admissions office. All forms, whether online or in print must be submitted to SSS (not here at school) no later than May 16, 2011.
If you need assistance, please call the SSS helpline at 1-800-344-8328. Priority is given to renewing families for scholarship assistance but forms must be entered in a timely manner or scholarship funds may not be available.
Once forms are completed, please make a personal appointment with Admissions Director, Jerry Riley, for a final decision on your financial contracts. All financial aid requests are reviewed in personal, confidential interviews on a case-by-case basis.
