Experiential Education: Fall Hiking
I have been leading similar, all-school fall trips in the mountains for almost 20 years. I even did part of my thesis on them. Their power should not be underestimated. This is an important time for students to connect with the school. This is a time when we all come together, where new friendships are formed, and the seed for deep bonds are planted. This is not just about individual trips, but all trips coming together on the last night. This is about challenges, outdoor education skills, and building a sense of community. School won't truly begin until we all get together on that last night of trips.
